When our team first visited Findus freezer warehouse, it was a chilling sight.
Icicles dangled from the ceiling, and a thick layer of frost covered the floor. It was like a miniature ice age had taken hold inside.
But after installing Masterveil Powerstream, the freezer transformed into a clean, efficient space, free from the icy grip of winter.

Unveiling the Magic of Powerstream®
Masterveil Powerstream is an advanced system that creates an air barrier at openings in freezer rooms. This barrier prevents warm, humid air from the environment from entering the freezer and condensing into ice.
Here's how it works in detail:
- Separation air: The system blows out a jet of air that creates a clear separation between the cold air inside the freezer and the warm air outside.
- Insulating air layer: On top of the separation air jet, a layer of air is applied that has been conditioned to be dry and sometimes even heated. This layer acts as an insulator and prevents moisture from the warm air from reaching the cold surfaces in the freezer.
- Energy saving: By creating this double air barrier, the system can minimize energy loss and thus reduce operating costs.
- Adaptability: The system can be adapted to different types of freezer rooms and doors by combining different modules and adjusting the airflow.
Why does ice form in freezers without Powerstream?
When we open a freezer door, warm, humid air enters. The cold air in the freezer cools the warm air, and the moisture then condenses on the cold surfaces and forms ice.
The benefits of Powerstream®:
- Prevents ice formation: Reduces the need for manual defrosting and improves hygiene.
- Lowers energy consumption: Reduces cold loss through the door.
- Extends the life of refrigeration equipment: Reduces the load on the compressor.
- Increases productivity: Reduces downtime for defrosting.
