Airstop®
Masterveil’s range of air curtains is built upon the foundation of Airstop®, a proprietary high-performance technology developed in-house.
Our high-pressure Airstop system comes in two versions, depending on the type of door, customer’s requirements and/or type of application:
- Compact versions with inbuilt fans
- Versions 100% adapted to the actual situation based on an external fan and air outlet modules.
The fan is based on EC technology in accordance with the latest ErP regulations. The specially developed air jet nozzle is used to block the natural airexchange due to temperature differences (cold/warm).
The fan is controlled via a signal from the door control, from the conveyor system or from the building management system (0-10V), even full autonomic high intellengent ERX regulation based upon doorposition and 5 different sensor can be delivered and garantee an fully automatic outdoortemperature regulated solution with 100% comfort for your staff in mind.
The fan has an adjustable operating point, so that in each case a zero point is verified as proof of correct function and optimal thermal protection. Our highly trained staff has the possibility to finetune your application in detail using anemometers, thermologgers, infrared cameras, pythometers. All is followed by a startprotocol – Certificate of Masterveil’s highest quality
All system concepts were tested by an independent institution and the efficiency is proven with inert gas measurements. Please ask us for details
The outblow modules are manufactured project-specific in shape and length and painted in a RAL colour according to the customer’s request.
Powerstream®
This high-pressure air curtain system was specially developed for use for doors between large freezers in combination with big conditioned frontrooms. Here, the function of temperature and humidity separation is split into two individual functions. The temperature separation is ensured with a predefined outblowangle of the separation air jet against the natural flow direction. Another patented conditioned air jet is applied to the separation air jet and protects the deep-freeze area from penetrating humidity. Since this is done with a high degree of efficiency, we refer to it as an insulation air layer.
The Powerstream® system consists of an external fan and two vertical discharge modules. As standard, this basic system is installed on the freezer side. In contrast to the typical Masterveil approach, the tailor-made length is reached by combining standard modules. The blow-out modules are positioned to the left and right of the door.
Depending on requirements, the insulation air layer is conditioned with an electric heating coil, a glycol coil, or an active dehumidifier. Due to the patented separation of functions into separation and insulating air jet, the energy requirement is reduced to a minimum. Never seen in the market.
For large humidity loads, large temperature differences or to increase system efficiency, the basic system can be supplemented with an Airlock system on the warm side. This extension system has the same design, but only one additional separating air jet.
The entire system is controlled via a control cabinet and can be connected directly to the building management system. The system can be controlled via a potential-free door contact or directly from the building management system.
The fans are based on EC technology in accordance with the latest ErP regulations. They have an adjustable operating point, so that a zero point is demonstrated in each case as proof of correct function and screening. The specially developed nozzles have a very smooth surface to avoid the smallest turbulence in the air jet.
All system concepts are tested by an independent institution and the efficiency is proven with inert gas measurements. The system components are made to measure for specific projects and, if desired, completed with specially developed collision protection.
